I have been struggling with an old ford 501. I thought it was on its last leg. I spent more time welding it than using it. The parts at NH were painted in gold. My drive connection to the pitman (that I have welded twice) finally broke beyond repair. NH had replacement parts for about $150. This included the bearings which I did not need. But I found a place on the net the sold the parts individually for a lot less. I have attached the link. Also the local TSC (Wichita KS) was getting rid of their sickle knife assembly for half off. I got two 7" blades for $90 total. I probably can use this mower for another few years and not have to look for another.
