My Dad and one of the neighbors bought the first 2 round balers ever sold in our county.....605Cs (fellow down the road in another county had an earlier model). We baled with a 4020; neighbor used a 5000 Ford diesel; he had enough power and weight for his mostly flat land, but it wouldn't have worked very well on hills. They used a manual tie, so only one hydraulic circuit was required. We later owned an 851, which required 2 circuits; it was a heavier baler and I don't think the 5000 would have handled it........
