Well, I'm not going to call you Hayin' and I'm certainly not going to call you Fool. Twelves were good balers but for it's age, (late 60's into the middle seventies), it better be real good. The knotters in particular have to be clean and in relatively good shape because they had a lot of sealed bearings and bushings instead of grease fittings. They baled well but the bales were not as brick square as a JD baler. They were and are a lot better than a New Holland of a comparable age. Before the New Holland guys start screaming, I will say that a New Holland needs regular maintenance or the bales look like bananas. I used to use a New Holland automatic wagon, and an NH baler would not work because the bales were bent. What you might get with a 12 Massey though is a lack of parts from dealers. Watch auctions and salvage yards for a duplicate you can strip. Good Luck. Tom
