i just saw these posts tonight. i have a 352 and 353 nh mixer. i believe the auger attaches to the gearbox which is bolted to the frame. if that hasn't moved, the top must be what moved. the bearing is greasable and i thought there was a lock collar on it too. i'm pretty sure the shaft sticks through the bearing on mine. with the auger loose on the top, can you pull it by hand vertically, as if the bottom shaft was loose? can you shim the new plate away from the top of the tank, so the bearing catches more of the shaft? i'm not giving any real answers, just brainstorming possibilities.
