I'm going to quote the words from my book writen by H.W. Wendel "The shocks were put though a husker-shredders. Husker-shredders were the machine that snapped the ears from the stalks, cleaned them on the husking bed and delivered them to a waiting wagon. Meanwhile the stalks and leaves were cut and shredded, passing through the machine, and into a blower which conveyed them to a pile or into the barn." May have more infro if needed.
