Hello-
My neighbor wants to sell me an Allis Chalmers All-Crop 66 combine as payment on some hay for $300 otherwise it is going to the scrap yard. It was shedded all its life until about 2 years ago. All paint is on it and no rust from what I see. The canvas is worn but operable yet. Should I buy it for this price? The other good thing is I would only have to haul it a 1/2 mile home to my farm. Are all the sickle parts available yet through Fleet Farm type store? There were about 2 gaurds broken or missing, hope the gaurds are not specific to this machine. What is a new canvas going to cost if I need to replace it? Unfortunately it will have to sit outside at my farm as I have no shed space. Can I remove the canvas if I store it outside? Planning to use it mainly for oats, and winter wheat. Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance!

I can think of a few common, ordinary sounds in my daily life, too.
