How I always set a combine for wheat is to set the cylinder speed wide open. JDs do not have super high RPM cylinder. On the concave setting. I clean the rock trap out and tighten the concave down as tight as it will go an not hit the cylinder bars. Unless you have brand new bars and a new concave I have never seen a JD damage wheat. Then I just turn the air up until the tailings elevator is pretty clean. Then check the ground behind yourself. You may have to adjust the chaffer and air to fine tune the sample and loses. Wheat is super easy to combine compared to Soybeans or corn. Wheat just hulls out pretty easy.
