Tire prices have gone thru the roof in the past 5-6 years..However the Fed says we just have 2% inflation...
Good used tires are even getting hard to find at the tractor and combine salvage yards...They go out as fast as they come in..When you do find good used ones they want plenty for them..My local tire dealer says he now gets more requests for used tires than new tires.
I ruined a 10x16 front tire on my 1206 IH loader tractor...My local tire dealer said a new one is $282..Recently I got lucky and got an 80% one on a farm sale for $10..A new tube was $20 and I was charged $15 to mount it..
