Well the beans finaly dried down and this afternoon (late) I desided to try them. Spent the last few days going over the combine good and put the big crop dividers on because of all the downed beans. They work good with the 9 20 inch rows, It is tight but I tried it but 8 works better. Never got out of 1 gear though, Beans are 12.3 and the first 4 acres made 46 bu an acre and this is an 7 acre field that is the worst of the beans this year. Lots of green stocks and some butter beans and realy dusty but not bad for 2 1/2 hrs of cutting and changing the setting and rechecking them. Tomorrow should be a good day to run 22 acres and haul them off then wait for more to be ready to cut. Field is pretty clean EXCEPT for some green morning glories I didnt know were there. Bandit

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
