You have a Jacobsen Chief garden tractor, probably a 61 or 62 from what I have found out. (my son has a 100A, same basic tractor but 'upscale' a little, has footrests and starter-generator, his S/N is in the 1700's). We were told that up to around S/N 2000, + or -, they were made in 1961. It came with a Kohler K161 7hp engine, parts for the Kohler are available at about any Kohler dealer, Jake parts are harder to find but are available from a place called Corll's Tractor Supply in Ohio (I don't have the address or phone number handy, if you need it I can post it). I have a photocopy of the owners manual and parts breakdown, if you need a copy let me know.
