Jeff, thanks for that information. That helps me a lot. I think you are right, this tractor will pull well. Our club here in western MA has a garden tractor pull during every regular antique tractor pull, but it almost got eliminated due to lack of interest, and one dedicated gentlman that kicks everybodies butt with a couple of Ariens GTs with hydrostatic (photo above). In our club the garden tractors pull sometimes up to 4000 # with a max. 2200 # tractor weight and 21" hitch height for mod. class. (stock draw bar for stock class) I've had this tractor for a year with intentions of setting it up but never took the time. When I saw "need" for some competition I decided to get it done. I think I can take and Ariens w/ hyro with this PK. So far here at home a few practice runs have really impressed me. The only fly in the ointment was not knowing the weight. I have plenty of weights to play with because I pull w/ a full sized John Deere 620. My only slight concern are the narrow rear tires. Fatter tires seem to do a little better. (more foot print)
