I checked with my supplier yesterday and this one is still available at this time. The way they are getting this done is: your gonna love this one: The EPA has given permission for a certain amount of time for Kohler to sontinue selling the K series engine. here is the catch, for every engine that Kohler puts into the field, one has to be taken out. ie, if YOU replace YOUR engine in YOUR Cub Cadet, by law, you must destroy YOUR engine and make it unserviceable, But, Kent you are right, they are slowly getting them to be NLA, and if it still available, the price on these engines are way out of line in price. A good example, 3 years ago a KT17 for 782 Cub or 317 for Deere sold for $1300.00, noe they are over $2200.00. that is why they are starting to make Command engines to fit where these used to go. Jim
