I recently reassembled the transmission on this tractor after many years without to much difficulty. However after mouting it back to the frame the tractor will not roll with the transmission in neutral. So I remove from the frame again. I find that one tire will roll backwards while the other rolls forwards so I suspect the differentail is ok (but not sure). The belt pulley input shaft at the top of the transmission will turn if in neutral but engage any gear an it is almost impossible to turn.
If I open the tranny up again what am I looking for or could it still be the differential? Thanks.
