I removed the rubber gasket that holds the nowl to the carb before soaking. I removed the bowl and the float before soaking last time and will again next, as well as any other rubber parts.
Gas does flow down the fuel line to the carb so the shut off is on allowing gas to move.
Is there a small, cork like part that sits with the float spring? There seemed to be something under it or it was just a bit of goo.
