Your picture is of an early seventies Ford by Jacobsen. It would be an LGT 100, 125, 145 or an LGT 165. Depending on the engine horse power. If it has a ten horse it should have a gear drive not a hydro. Ford used the same model designation on the next model Tractors from the late seventies. Yours is an open side model. The later ones are referred to as closed side models. All open side LGT"s used the same hood. Unfortunately, whoever added those numbers to the data plate did not get the right. The O9JC number would be for the mower deck. The model number should have been 32XX. Those are great tractors. I have two. It"s worth getting a hood.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
