My dad bought a brand new 312-8 wheel horse in 1986; needless to say my mom is sort of attached to it since he passed away in 1997. She has mowed about 2 acres with it trouble free since new. The only problems have been related to typical operator error like driving over sticks and bits of wire.
Lately she complains that is too loud. I was wondering if I could re-pack the exhaust like I do on my FMF dirt bike muffler. I mean the glass mat must be all blown out and that is why it has gotten so noisy?
