Since many of us have back-up generators for the home & shop, and some collect and/or repair Gen-sets, I thought that an article I found might be of interest. A small (6 KW) generator that I worlked on recently had two diodes mounted on the rotating armature that spins at 3600 RPM. Interesting design to say the least.
