If the carb has old style nozzle & hole in threads plugged, blowing air thru main jet nozzle usually won't clean same,IF there is no small brass plug on the side of ridge casting at bottom, then nozzle is probably newer style that is undercut.
IF you do have a brass plug on casting & can't get nozzle out, brass plug will have to be removed/drilled out & a thin pc of wire is then used to push thru hole in threads to clean out/check if clear, the brass plug may be avail as a replacement part if you drill out, you'll have to check with dealer,I drilled mine out, then tapped hole & installed a small brass machine screw in same.
Depending on pn of carb, you may have a welch plug(s) located in carb body inside bowl above float or a welch plug/brass plug located ext on carb body,in any case under plug a T is formed by three passages meeting, the long leg of T is gas supply from main jet, right arm goes to air bleed hole in venturi wall located behind choke plate, left arm goes to idle needle/jet.Usually one/more of the passages will plug up & the only way to clean/blow out all is to remove welch plug(s).The welch plug will have to be damaged/destroyed to remove, the plugs are avail as a seperate repair item, however most dealers don't carry plugs alone & will sell you carb rebuild which usually includes new welch plugs, check with dealer & see if can order seperate if you remove plugs and need replacment plugs.
