When dad wanted to put a 15hp kohler where an 18 Briggs used to be, I wrote down the model#'s of the tractors & found a site with complete manuals for those 2 models, compare /contrast the wiring & wa- la. On a side note, the 15 kohler is twice the motor of the briggs. He can mow pasture with it now... It also seems to go like Heck. We figured the single cyl engine has a higher RPM than the twin Briggs did... thus you can mow tall stuff & finish an hour before you start. LOL
