Evening again Gents. High idle.
No leaks on vacuum lines, new diaphragm in injector pump. altered throttle stop all ways, made sure breather pipe is sealed into the air intake and the valve cover. made sure oil in air filter is up to snuff. air intake rubber pipes in good order and clamps both tight. No apparent leaks on intake manifold. (New gasgets from the rebuild) What next? If I remove air intake and put hand over the pipe a little, it idles down well. No surging. Any good ideas what to check? It's a year or two since I posted about this tractor, as regular farm work has kept me busy, but finally got at it again seeing as weather isn't fit for much else.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.
BTW; Coupler and injector pump had been changed on this tractor, so timing had to be done by comparing with another that runs nicely. (No timing scribe line on coupler) If timing is still a bit off, Could this cause a high idle?? Any help most appreciated!
