Hello there,

ANyone interested in abondoned tractor project?
I have a '64 Super Major about 75 % done, about 7000 invested, lots of pieces powder coated. Engine machined with new liners, crank reground and installed, new engine kit and camshaft, new gauges, . I took it all apart except for the tranny, cleaned everything. I have reassembled the dif and trans with pedels, axles (replaced bearings and seals), steering and footplates all painted. What's left to do...head not re worked yet but have new valves, springs, guides, keepers, exhaust valve rotators, new injectors...hydro top cover needs paint and re assemble, front axel and steering needs doing, wings or fenders need brackets fixed and then paint. Power steering needs clean and paint, along with tool box, generator, starter and fuel lines. WOuld rather not break it up and sell parts separately. Its all there, new gages, lights have lenses and new bulbs, front weight and oil pan are powder coated along with hood, rails, framework mountings, seat, footplates. injection pump and hydro pump were working according to previous owner. It blew a head gasket is all I found bad. Has new rear tires also. All wheels were sandblasted primed and sprayed.gears and pto engage all working well. put in new clutch springs, two relined disks, spring bolts and nuts, new clutch lever arm contact bolts, replaced pins in clutch lever arms. Color is red with hammered silver accents, Yea I know, but it is beautiful color combo, and it will make your bule and white spray job turn out even better! I only have an acre of land so this could have been an impulse buy, I did not know the history of a super when I bought it and am not overjoyed at selling it but I know I won't get it done and hope someone else will. It is in a large insulated shop and in a very dry climate. I bought it in July of '09.

Today's Featured Article - Farmall 460: That's My Girl - by LeAnn R. Ralph. How many sounds can you think of that are as familiar to you as your own breathing? What about the hum of your refrigerator? Or the thump of your clothes dryer? Maybe the engine of your car? You hear those sounds every day, and you don't think much about them, do you. I can think of a few common, ordinary sounds in my daily life, too. ... [Read Article]
