The problem you seem to have is that you need to bleed the fuel system to get rid of air. On the top of the filters and on the fuel pump itself are bleed screws that need to be loosened, then using the hand pump, drive all the air from the system. Then press the heater button on the dash for 30-40 secs, press the pump in the fuel tap a couple of times (making sure the little tap on the manifold (if fitted) is turned on), press the starter and away she will go. If this fails, try slackening off the injector pipes and cranking the engine over till diesel comes out. If she is firing on ether there is little wrong with her. A SMALL amount can be used to get her going but if used regularly will damage pistons and rings on these engines. Age can be anything from 1958 to 1964. These are a brilliant little tractor about 40hp. They are at a premium price in Europe some fetching up to £3000.00.
