Congrats on your new toy. Check the link below to Smith's Old Ford Tractors, there is a wealth of great info for anyone wanting to know about their tractor. From you serial number it was nearing the end of production for 1957. The 1958 models began with serial number 11977. If you're going to do the work on your tractor I recommend a Ford Shop Manual, Master Parts Catalog and Operator's Manual. They will help quite a bit. And of course, there is abundant knowledgeable people on this site more then willing to help you. Have fun!
