Maybe I was a little low in my first estimate, but I don't think I was too far off. I just did a quick search on craigslist and there's a 4600 near here with a loader that they're asking $5500.00 for, which was the top of my original range, so a 4WD 4610 might be a bit more, but that 4600 was put up at a local auction last month with a $5500.00 minimum bid and apparently didn't sell because it's still on the local craigslist.
There's also a 1984 4610 that's been on craigslist for over a month now and hasn't sold. It's an 8 speed 2wd without a loader and the guy is asking $11,000.00.
All you see on craigslist is the asking price. You never see what it finally sold for, if it ever did sell, so I assume that ones that sat on craigslist for over a month either sold for a lot less once the seller came to his senses or else he got frustrated and stopped trying to sell it.

It was on his farm that I learned to use the combination hand clutch and brake on a John D
