My thought on the mesh guard is that when you look closely at this tractor, you see a wire harness going into it. Likely it's there on yours, too. They're using the guard as a conduit. The more parts that stay the same between options the cheaper it is for the manufacturer--less steps and less employees... KISS, mass production and all that. In that same topic, the bottom cowl cover looks like the one for our 5000--even the cutout for the steering arm remains.
It might be just a simple 5610, but I wouldn't send it down the road if it was on my place. Our 5000 has proven itself in my 30+ lifetime
