My Grandpa bought this 1964 Ford 4000 Industrial backhoe new (with factory power steering) and took great care of it! Some of his side work included digging silo foundations under contract with Agway, and installing septic systems and graves in the small-town Dairy community where he lived (and giving us grandkids rides in the front bucket often). The hour meter quit working at 7286 hours over 30 years ago. Its in origional condition, original paint etc. We still use it for minor digging around the farm and for handling and feeding round bales of hay as pictured. This tractor still runs great and I would rather load and stack hay with it over any of the newer modles that we have. I'm proud to have such a neat piece of history in our family to do my daily chores with!
