I have a 1974 ford 2000 3 cylinder gasser and it has a small hyd oil leak at the 1 inch nut on the hyd pump. I have looked in the achrives and at new holland web site and the parts list at new holland it has a protection seal number 45(connb997a) 1/1/65 to 9/30/69.And the achrives at your site says that the hyd line in the 1 inch line is bad. My question is does my tractor have a protection seal or is the hyd line bad. I haven't took it apart yet cause I could live with the leak for now if I had to, but if I could just change the protection seal if it has one. Just don't want to get in over my head and take it apart and put the tractor down . Any thoughts or help would be great Thanks Joe C

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
