Gl1 was used well into the 60s.Ford Motor co never said use 134.My 640 lost lift power in warm weather with 134.Works fine with 90 gear oil.The ring and pinion in your tractor is the same parts used in Ford big trucks in 1930.They used a 140 gear oil in hot weather.Extreme pressure oils came later.20 weight oil is too light for a 9n.CNH came up with 134 they didnt want your tractor to last.Ford did say to add some 80 gear oil to tractors used in cold weather.
