Just picked up a Ford 6' snow plow with what appears to be a pretty complete frame. I'll shoot a few pics tomorrow and post them. Looks like it mounts to the tranny and front bolster, manual angle, hydraulic lift. The lower mount has the Ford model #19-80 on it, haven't found any other tags yet. Found the Messicks parts diagrams and I'm guessing I have a 705.
Has some "custom" work done on it, but nothing too drastic. I suspect the worst issue (in terms of $$$ anyway) might be the cylinder.. it has a few rust spots on the chrome that are likely going to be pits, and it may be easier to just replace the cylinder.
Biggest question I have .. is this meant to have down pressure as well as hydraulic lift? Or does it float when it's down? My remotes don't have a float setting as far as I know. Will I need to remedy that?
Found a few threads and get the impression that these work pretty well. Thanks in advance for any advice.
