A wee little bit of progress today. Measured the size of the hex opening in the plug as bigger then my 1 1/16 open end, smaller then my 1 1/8 open end. Got a 6" bolt and 2 nuts. Head of bolt is a wee bit too big to fit in hex opening. Going to grind it 1st thing in the AM till it fits in opening. Took the bolt, threaded both nuts all the way on it. Then took a steel punch and beat the last 2 threads on the bolt to oblivion! backed 1st nut out over that end till it would not move. Then took punch and beat the crap out of last 2 threads showing on bolt before 1st nut. Backed second not out over that. Socket fits over both the nuts. The way I figure it I can try it and if freeze plug turns before these 2 jammed on nuts great. Kinda has a margin of safety that I do not exert too much force on the freeze out plug.
With the 6" bolt I can probably leave the starter on during this test to see if the plug will even budge.
