I have a '68 4000 with a Ford 19-525 (component number) loader. I have a new filter on order and I am wondering what the capacity of the hydraulic system is? I dumped in a full bucket of TSC hydraulic tranny fluid when I put the tractor together and it worked fine, except it strained when cold which is why I decided to look at the filter/strainer, but I'm curious how much fluid is recommended or if there is some kind of fill level check for this loader. I have manuals for all of my tractors, but nothing that covers the loader. Any thoughts? Also, I assume that since it's completely self contained, I don't even need the 134 equivalent fluid, I could just run cheap hydraulic fluid, correct? Is there any reason not to run the hydraulic-tranny fluid?
