Ken, it can not work without an ARM terminal, as that is the generator's output. NOW, if you really only have 2 terminals, they are very likely FIELD and ARMATURE, without a Ground terminal (rely on mounting bolts). What that says to me is the it is not the factory original generator for your tractor. Now, that doesn't mean it can't be made to work, but for most of us to provide assistance we need to know what the generator is. Any numbers, ID, photos, etc. may be helpful, or if you can find a 'real' generator repair shop (that isn't Auto Zone, O'Really's, CarQuest, etc.) they might ID it for you & even tell you if it works, & what specific regulator you need to use with it.
