I'm using it because the tractor brake stops the PTO dead and though I am able to operate it ok, I have "helpers" that while tedding don't think about it and flip the lever off which then grinds the gearbox on the tedder and makes me yell. It seemed like cheap insurance. It is also nice for the haybine to let it overrun rather than stopping it dead. The baler already has one built in. That's about all I use the PTO for.
