Just one thing to add: my 4000/5000 owner's manual describes bleeding the air from the fuel filter as the first step in the process. There's a hex-headed bleed screw located on the top of the filter. When I did my '70 4000, I bled the filter, then the pump, and all three of the injectors. It didn't start to fire until I had bled the air from the last one. Good luck.
