Your tractor was made in 1948 so it could have a Continental Z120 Engine or the Standard Engine. If you look at the left side of the Engine and the location of the Oil Filler for the Engine if it is just above the Starter then it is a Standard Motors Engine, if the Oil Filler is just in front of the Distributor it is a Z120 Continental. There are no 30's in the UK, they were all called TE20's but with a third letter in the serial prefix to denote just what it was. All you need to know is if it is a Standard Engine or a Continental Engine and order a manifold for that type of Engine. Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
