Hi Tony, It sounds like it is a real mess. You can't buy a harness for a conversion to an alternator, but it is quite easy to make one up from the diagram I can send you. The Coil is wired incorrectly, the feed should go to positive terminal on the Coil if the tractor ground is Negative. Seems like you need a new ignition/lights switch and a Safety Switch on top of the Clutch Housing. It wont need the resistor if the Coil is 12 volts, it will need one though if it is a 6 volt. The separate light switch is not necessary if you get a combined Ignition and lights switch like was fitted originally. There is no need for a Regulator with an Alternator as it is all built-in unless it is a very early type, but from how you describe it, it does not need one.
