The back of the alternator has holes for the screws holding on the tach drive housing and the back of the shaft is threaded for the tach drive gear. Just like the generator was setup. I don't remember what direction but the same as the generator. The direction is reversed in the tach drive housing on the back. Any alternator will fit any tractor, it is just how bad do you want it on there. I have put alternators on MF180D, MF3165, MH44, TO30. We had to make our own brackets. With a little work, that is well worth it, it will fit the TO35.
