I read where ordinary household vinegar does the trick; cheap vinegar works fine to clean up an old tank. Need to see if they were using it on varnished fuel, and/or rust. Go to the archives and look for it ..As I recall you fill er up (13 gal @ ~ $100 per gallon....no big deal) and let her set for a few days I used the POR 15 treatment on a tank (to seal a leak) and although it did a great job of sealing the tank, I had lots and lots of residue floating out that I am still cleaning out. Will not use again. Their rust cleanup chemicals however, may be just the thing. Check the archives. Don't put a marble or such in the tank. My son did that and the marble beat hell out of his fuel exit screen. cost $50 for another outlet (to get the screen). Mark Mark
