Okay. To repair the front axle back yard style you need an old oven with the broiler working. Obtain diamond plate steel, about 3/8 thickness. Cut into shape to fit into rear of front axle recesses. Punch a hole in both sides of the oven. Insert axle heat to highest temp possible. Weld with nickel rod. Allow to drop 100 degrees in temp per hour. This is possibly best done with a virgin axle as I had done by a buddy. Precracked is preweakened. Chinese cast iron is a lot more porous. Porosity tends to leak to weakness.
