Once the cover is off, which it sounds like you've done, it's very easy. Remove the drive shaft, one cotter pin and it will slide together and come out. You'll have to drain the fluid down below the two mounting pins and remove the pins, one from each side down near where your feet go. Slide the PTO shaft rearward after removing the locking ring from around the shaft at the back of the tractor. Then you should be able to lift the pump right out.
