kirk, if its anything like my to-35 engine oil filter. its a metal canister that has to be removed from the tractor and the new filter inserted. also mine has a spring and washer that are installed first and push the filter against the block!!!!
but, I am not sure a TO-30 oil filter is the same as a to-35.
you need to buy a book for your tractor that explains jobs like this.
*********you do not want to make a mistake and let all the oil run out and ruin your engine. that can happen, if you do not get the canister gasket installed properly.
use 30 weight oil
change the oil in the base of the air filter tower.
good luck and ask questions, an engine is an expensive thing to ruin. again if you can not get the proper info ask someone to come help you.
