I've used Autolite 3116 and Champion D18Y with no problems using either one. If you have a tractor that burns oil or just does very light duty work you can step up to a Champion D21 which is a hotter plug than the 3116 or the D18Y and it does not have a projected tip like the 3116 or D18Y so it won't foul out as easily. Autolite does not have a hotter plug than the 3116 in the non resistor plugs. In the resistor plugs the 386 is the standard plug and the 388 is hotter but I would recommend staying away from resistor plugs if you can.
