I havent ran them in any of my tractors. I still use Blue Streak points in them, but I did have a Ford F-100 with a Pertronix in it and it was a little over a year it went out and left me sitting in the middle of town. When they go they don't give any warning signs. I put points back in the truck and later sold it but its still running that way. Am I against Pertronix? No, I was just saying when they go they don't give any warning signs like when a lot of other modules start to go bad. That's my experience with them anyway. If I just used my TO20 for grade the driveway or bush hog then I probably would convert it, but I use my Ferguson for all my raking hay, plowing, discing, cultivating, planting corn,etc... If points should go bad while I'm raking 15 acres of hay I can swap them out in 5 mins and be going again. If the Pertronix should go out I would be in trouble because I would have to order another and wait and by then the hay may get rained on. That's why I haven't ever considered switching mine.

It was on his farm that I learned to use the combination hand clutch and brake on a John D
