I'm about half way to getting the tranny seal out. I don't think I have to take the steering box off but I'll do it if I have to. Far as I can tell you take the cover and bearing off the lower shaft so that it can drop down enough to let you get the main drive/pto shaft out. Trouble is lately all I can seem to get is a half hour here and a half hour there to work on it. Got my clutch back from rebuild on Thurs. and after paying the bill on that I felt guilty ordering the seals necessary to get it back together. They did a nice job with the clutch though, went through the whole thing, replaced springs, set it all up, machined the flywheel etc etc etc..........all I should have to do once I get the seals is bolt 'er all together. Then buy a whole bunch more parts! woo hoo!
