You have to reset the toplink mechanism, with a plough fitted and lifted you should just be able to turn the spring by hand. Then you need to set the quadrant. Set the quadrant stop 2 1/4 inches down from the front of the lever when it is fully raised Then push the lever forwards against the stop. With the engine running, the lift should stay in a float position....move the lever down 1/8th and it will drop, move it up an 1/8th and it will rise. To set this you need to slacken the 4 bolts around the quadrant and tap the complete quadrant unit back or forwards with the engine running. This takes a bit of setting as even tightening the bolts can put it out of adjustment. I will hazard a guess that this was all that was wrong in the first place? Remember these tractors do not have position control and will not hold the lift at any set position above ground. By the way have you the PTO engaged? Sam
