It is a different Carburettor on a TO tractor and so it does not have that link. The idea of the link is that it speeds up the engine when it is running on choke so that it won't stall and flood. Regarding the Starting, just make sure that the starter leads are heavy enough (gage 0) and that the ground lead is attached to a bolt close to the starter instead of the back of the Dash panel as that will be partly insulated by rust now. All other connection should be clean and bright and tight. Make sure that the Brushes in the starter are not sticking or worn and flashing and that the commutator that the brushes bear down on is not dirty or burnt...John(UK)...fergusontractors@hotmail.com
