Any fruit trees on your MIchigan ranch?? I need to find a better way to harvest cherries. A tree shaker is probably too expensive for my needs. I've been thinking about somekind of a bucket lift for the 3 point hydraulic lift. Tried picking the cherries using engine vacuum thru a piece of 1/2 in PVC 15 feet long but it only destroys the cherry.
Bottom line: i'm tired of standing on a ladder strapped into the back of a ranch buggy. Need a better method. And yes i've already tried the various Google'd websites and eBay.
I already have a 40 foot, high reach pole trimmer for trimming tree branches but it is very crude and cumbersome. I just can't come up with a slick, cheap and easy way to pluck cherries from a tree. Have apple and persimmon, pear too. But cherries are the biggest concern.
