Why do you need to remove the cam to start with as there are no parts to replace. Do you have the engine on a stand. You can push the lifters up as far as they will go then after removing oil pump the cam can be removed by removing the cap screws behind the cam gear. If you can turn the cam over there realy isnt any reason to pull it. I have refreshed ,rebuilt or whatever you want to call it and there realy isnt any reason to remove the cam. Be careful removing the oil pump as sometimes it is stuck in the boss where the two outside bolts hold it in place. There isnt a real reason to even remove the oil pump as it can be serviced still in place. Too bad other posts talk about removing lifters first just makes it hard to believe advice sometimes given on this site. Some have never did the job yet they THINK they know ho to do it.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
