The answer is to just minimize that smoke. At the same time not so far lean that it spurrers or hesitiates on opening the throttle. It is good to have a cutting edge on smoke no smoke when pulling a plow or disk, but for non tillage the smoke should be gone by about 1/2 turn in on the bottom front screw. Jim
