Have you had problems with the magnets coming loose from the inside of the flywheel, thus disabling the charging system? Anybody else have this problem? I tried gluing them back on, but they won't stay glued. A new flywheel with magnets is almost 500 bucks--I am depressed! Any thoughts?[/quote:c77dab5137]
That is pretty standard for that engine/series. Go to Weekend Freedom Machines for your JD GT questions. That place is almost better than this one!!! I have read about guys glueing them back on.

But didn't it have independent brakes? That is invaluable on my 318.
